Thailand's Lucky Number Lottery
The lottery mechanical system is designed to be truly random. It does not use any computer algorithms or mathematical equations. In order to keep the lottery results unpredictable, the lottery results are updated at various times. A lottery ticket costs between one and twenty thousand baht. เลข 7 เซียน Those who have won the lottery must visit a GLO office in Bangkok to collect their prize.
The new lottery scheme will increase the number of tickets sold by about seven to eight million. Previously, lottery brokers were blamed by the Thai public for monopolizing the lottery trade and overpricing. However, the GLO has defended the distribution system, arguing that five groups control the distribution of government lottery tickets. In addition, the GLO Foundation oversees the distribution of lottery proceeds to various charities.
The lottery ticket has six digits and is pre-printed with anti-counterfeiting features. Ticket prices are usually eighty baht for a pair, and 160 baht for one. The ticket also contains a schedule of prizes, ancillary information, and terms and conditions. Each ticket is checked and scrutinized by a Draw Chairman before it is sold. This ensures that it is authentic and safe for visitors.
To claim a prize, you must fill out a lottery claim form. You can also write down your winning number on the back of the ticket. Once you receive your prize, you must present your winning ticket with your Thai ID card or passport. The winner must also pay a stamp duty of 0.5% on the government lottery and one percent on the charitable lotteries.
The lottery was first introduced in Thailand in 1832. It was originally based on Chinese-style games. Later, the lottery was used for social benefits. In 1932, the lottery was used to fund the Thai red cross charity. In the same year, the Government abolished the draftee tax, which led to a shortfall of revenue. To fill this shortfall, the lottery process was introduced in the provinces and regional municipalities.
Thai lottery tickets can be purchased at street vendors. The government mandated price is 80 baht, but many vendors sell tickets at higher prices. In some cases, tickets can cost 120 baht. It's a good idea to check the ID card of any vendor before purchasing the tickets. However, some locals don't feel safe buying a ticket from a sub-vendor.
Thai lottery results are published every day. You can check the latest results here.
