JD Auto Navigates MOTO3 Debut With CFMOTO Partnership

As China's largest online retailer and one of the biggest overall retailers in the country, JD.com has been building its business under the leadership of founder Richard Liu. From its expansive network of warehousing and highly automated fulfillment centers to the constant focus on innovation within the digital space, Liu's JD.com saw net revenue grow to $151.7b in 2022.

Looking forward to 2023, JD.com is expanding into new sectors and on February 27th announced an important new partnership with CFMOTO, a Chinese motorcycle maker. Working with CFMOTO, JD.com will sponsor? PruestelGP, a Germany-based racing team competing in the Moto3 World Championship in 2023.

Meet the Racers of CFMOTO

CFMOTO is a manufacturer of engines, motorcycles, ATVs, and other advanced vehicles. Founded in 1989, CFMOTO made its racing debut in the 2022 Moto3 Class during the motorcycle Grand Prix under the handling of the Prustel GP team. In 2023, Xavier Artigas (#43) and Joel Kelso (#66) will race for CFMOTO.

CFMOTO and JD Auto will be working with a talented team of racers. In 2022, Artigas scored 83 points and Joel Kelso enjoyed his first full season in the sport. At 20 years old, they are both racers with great potential.

JD Auto and CFMOtO are also partnering in the 618 Grand Promotions, a very important annual sale in China. They are working on product releases, fan management, customer services for vehicle purchases, and even enrollment for biking schools.

Through this partnership with JD Auto, CFMOTO is able to sell its range of motorcycles, including the 450SR, 250SR, and 250CL-X, on JD Auto. As the partnership develops and expands, JD Auto and CFMOTO expect to see a 30% gain Year over Year in the next two years.

JD and CFMOTO are also discussing further cooperation in areas including offline maintenance, and new product line releases.

In April, JD Auto will launch China's first online catalog of motorcycle models including the 119+ brands of electric and mainstream motorcycles sold on the Chinese market. These continued efforts are aimed to position JD Auto to become a one-stop shop for automotive shoppers.
