Samsung is expected to bring two major design elements back with the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup. One is a curved display design with minimal bezels akin to the Watch Active 2 and the other is the rotating bezel that Samsung removed last year on the Watch 5 Pro for some reason.

Now, On leaks confirms that the rumors are indeed true as he shares the first look of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic which indeed features the rotating bezels.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic - FIRST LOOK

As you already know these are based on the official cad schematic so these renders are an accurate representation of what the Watch 6 Classic would look like. And as you can see, it looks pretty much identical to the Watch 4 Classic from the design of the frame to the thickness of the bezel. The only change here is the design of the rotating bezel itself. It looks more like the Watch 5 Pro than the Watch 4 Classic.

But apart from that everything else looks pretty much the same. So does that mean rumors of us getting slimmer bezels this time were false? Well, not entirely as Ice Universe mentioned that only the regular watch 6 would see slimmer bezels. He didn't mention anything about the Classic so it looks like the thick bezels are here to stay at least on the classic model. To be honest, I think the reason Samsung is reducing the bezels only on the regular Watch 6 variant and not on the Classic is because of the rotating bezels. The mechanism doesn't allow them to go with slimmer bezels and that's the compromise users have to make if they want the feature. Another change we see here is the magnetic clasp much like the Watch 5 Pro.

The Watch 4 Classic had a buckle clasp. As for the features, both the Watch 6 lineup will continuously scan for arterial fibrillation at all times which basically detects irregular heart rhythms potentially saving lives. To be honest, the watch 4 and 5 already have the feature but there need to do it manually. Here it's automatic. And considering afib is asymptomatic, the watch 6 detecting it automatically will make a world of difference and will save lives. Other upgrades include a new 5nm chipset that is 10% faster than the one on the Watch 5 Pro. A more efficient processor for better battery life and it includes a bigger battery capacity too. The screen size as well as the resolution has been increased as well. With that said, Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra at the Unpacked event on July 26th and we already know what it looks like.
