XU7JP engine

PSA has borrowed an engine from Peugeot Citroen and rebadged it for use in the Peugeot Pars Tu5. This engine is a 1.8L DOHC engine with four hydraulically adjustable valves per cylinder. It is controlled by a Bosch Motronic MP 7.3 ECU. It was previously used in the Peugeot 406 LX 1.8i 16V.

The Peugeot Pars sedan has used several different powertrains over the past two decades. The current tu5 engine, which is more powerful than the XU7, is 1.6 liters and produces 105 horsepower. It has a larger volume than the XU7 engine.
